| The first two photos were taken on the same day, the third photo on the next day. We don't often see planes flying over our neighborhood, and three in two days was a bonus for my intrepid photographer and his faithful canine companion, Lindy, especially the biplane. |
That top photo reminds me a little of a dragonfly. I love these smaller planes. Here in BC we too often have huge jets overhead to break the quiet spells. SO glad you found your camera, Kay!!
ReplyDeleteGreat shots! + a lovely sky! :-)
ReplyDeleteThere seem to be several old planes including at least one biplane at our local airport. I rarely have the camera ready when they come by. You got some good shots.
ReplyDeleteI'm not seeing many or any planes flying overhead right now. Actually, it's rather overcast. Thank you so much for stopping by, Kay and leaving your kind greetings. I'm at loose ends jumping from one thing to another here.
ReplyDeleteThe biplane looks like a nice, serene way to travel!
ReplyDeletePLANETS HURTLING THROUGH THE SKY
Planets hurtling through the sky,
Can you tell me one thing: Why
Are you intent on fleeing
Far from human sight and seeing?

What a fun variety of planes and great skies and clouds! Terrific captures, Kay, as always! Hope you have a wonderful weekend! Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteSylvia
Beautiful shots of flight.
ReplyDeleteGreat catches! I can almost see Lindy looking patiently up at the sky as the picture is taken.
ReplyDeleteOh, my, I love that first shot!
ReplyDeleteWhat a cool little bi-plane...Dick must have been so pleased to capture it on film,(so to speak)! I spend an inordinate amount of time looking up at the sky. While some object to plane traffic, it delights me that we're on a flight path for incoming flights...I love to imagine where everyone's coming from...:)
ReplyDeleteWonderful captures, the first shot is my favorite. Happy skywatching!
ReplyDeleteLove to see a plane in the sky or clouds.
ReplyDeleteWonderful shots of the plane.
ReplyDeleteI love the biplane shot. Our condo in Powell River is just to the right of final approach to the airport. Ours is a small one so we usually get small planes. Even our "airliners" are small. - Margy
ReplyDeleteGreat shots--that plane looks so "little" up in that huge sky. Have a lovely weekend. Mickie :)
ReplyDeleteWhat great shots!Love the skies and the planes!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely delightful sky watching.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous sky shots Kay!
ReplyDeleteMy Sky Watch, have a happy weekend!
Wonderful shots!
ReplyDeleteThere they go, into the wild blue yonder ....
ReplyDeleteMy husband would love seeing that biplane, too, and it makes a nice decoration for the sky.
Reminds me of the airshow in Eastbourne last year !
ReplyDeleteAt one time man could only dream of flying. Today we have planes, and even cameras to freeze a moment to remember and share what we see.
ReplyDeleteWe watched a programme last night about the first days of flying - fascinating. I love biplanes:-)
ReplyDeleteI love it! Makes me wish I was in that plane right now...
ReplyDeleteLove the biplane!!
ReplyDeleteHope you were not in the area that was in the tornado watch last night, when I was checking the weather channel!!!
