Even scaly Camera Critters seek shade and cast Sunday Shadows

Iguanas, looking for some shade, cast their own shadows, in Tulum, Mexico, January 2010.
We had a wonderful time in the Mexican Riviera with my brother Clint, and his wife Ria.

  2. When I was a kid I had a pet iguana. He was a small green one, but he didn't live very long as I recall. The best luck I had keeping lizards was horned toads I found in the Los Angeles riverbed, before it became a cement channel. - Margy

  5. @ Anvilcloud -- I'm a mammal sort of person, too, AC, but thTese guys and their shadows were too good to resist. I didn't even go to Tulum with my husband, brother and sister-in-law. We knew it meant a lot of walking, and I just wasn't up to it, so I stayed at our resort north of there and had a day off. Unfitties need one of those when traveling with healthy relatives.

  6. I'm glad you explained where you found that iguana! I was sitting here thinking that you are in Canada 9and remember the sound a record needle makes as it goes across an LP? that sound is what came to mind when I saw the iguana).
Sounds like a great trip-sure is a great shadow shot!
